The Verdon Regional Nature Park
We are fortunate to be in the
Parc Naturel Régional du Verdon
with its wild landscapes and protected flora and fauna, making it a unique place. Whitewater activities are regulated in order to preserve the biodiversity of these aquatic environments and to harmonize the various practices on the Verdon (fishing and whitewater activities).
The right thing to do: discover the advice of the Park’s Ecoguards.
To take part in whitewater activities, you need to be able to swim, pets are not allowed and reservations are made directly with the whitewater companies. Don’t hesitate to contact them, they’ll be delighted to help.
The right thing to do: I’m aware of my physical condition and ask for advice on the whitewater activity best suited to my level.
In the Castellane area, the Verdon is a tributary of the Chaudanne dam, so water releases are essential for whitewater activities.
The right thing to do: before taking part in a whitewater activity, check with tourist offices or whitewater companies.
