In the 70s, while working for a prevention team on the streets of Paris and organizing youth camps in the Gorges du Verdon, Guy Gilbert had the idea of setting up his own structure to help young people.
The aims of our association :
At the Bergerie de Faucon home in the Gorges du Verdon:
To give the young people entrusted to us the tools, keys and resources they need to get back on their feet, move forward and succeed in training, as well as their social, relational and professional reintegration.
Offer young people a coherent, proven educational project based on zoopedagogy (also known as animal mediation).
Identify and develop young people’s potential and help them to progress in preparation for their future.
To welcome and introduce trainee educators and volunteers to our project, sharing with them the day-to-day running of the facility.
At the reception, help and prevention desk at no. 46 in Paris:
Continue to follow and help young people for as long as they need our support, even after their stay in our Faucon home.
Prevent by raising awareness of the causes and consequences of the serious difficulties experienced by these young people, through the publication of books, conferences, broadcasts and debates hosted by Guy Gilbert.
