The AAPPMA “la truite du Haut Verdon” manages recreational fishing in all the rivers and lakes (with the exception of the Lac des Sagnes at Thorame Haute) in the upstream watershed of the famous river, from the Lac de Castillon to the headwaters.
An approved fishing and aquatic environment protection association (AAPPMA) is an association with special status. Its main aims are to bring together fishermen who owe a fishing licence, to collect fees for the protection of aquatic environments, to protect the environment and, above all, to manage the fish resources of the rivers and lakes within its territory, in collaboration with the departmental federation.
