Itinerary to discover a wild site where the Saint-Pierre chapel is hidden. The ruins of Véraillon are the remains of an ancient fortified village abandoned in the 15th century.
From the parking lot in the village center, walk up rue des Bayles and turn right onto rue St Roch for around 100 m. At the mission cross, turn right onto the GR®4, then cross a bridge and a field.
At the first bend, follow a gullied path up a hill. Continue flat between meadows and Scots pine woods and join a path coming from the right. Go straight on, over a small pass and down the path to the Verraillon ruins.
In the meadow below the ruin, turn right and follow the stream. Go left over the clue and then down into the oak grove. At the path junction, go straight ahead, cross the rocky bar and descend to Chapelle St Pierre.
Below the chapel, turn right towards Soleihas and follow the canal. 20 m before the waterfall, turn right onto the steep, rocky path over the clue. Ford the Verraillon ravine a little further up and follow a forest path. At the end of the descent, continue straight ahead at the crossroads and join a track a little further up. Continue straight ahead to return to Soleilhas.
